In June 2021, Philips recalled millions of its CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilator machines because of potential carcinogen and toxic chemical exposure due to the sound abatement foam breaking down and particles and gasses from the degraded foam could be inhaled or ingested. The company found through their own internal testing that the degradation products of PE-PUR foam may lead to a variety of health problems. It is important that you know the brand and model of your machine to see if you qualify for a potential lawsuit against Philips.
Injuries from the machine may include breathing problems, headaches, dizziness, organ damage, or cancer.
If you aren’t sure if you qualify, a Junell & Associates lawyer can help you determine your eligibility at no cost to you. You may qualify if you used a recalled Philips CPAP, Bi-PAP, or ventilator.
